About the aircraft Loire-Nieurport LN.401/411
French dive-bomber aircraft

Extrapolé prototype Nieuport 140, the Loire-Nieuport LN.40 was to dive bombing, as the Ju 87 Stuka.
In contrast to the latter, it was a device to serve on aircraft carriers, as Bearn. He made his first flight in June 1938 and made its first pre-order copies of 7 and a second on 15 LN.401, and 36 aircraft. The LN.401 came into service in the Navy during the summer of 1939.

Note that 24 LN.401 and 411 were assembled from components already built by SNCASO at Châteauroux in March 1942. Two other versions were still produced: the LN-402 features a more powerful engine and the LN-42 with a new wing shortened. The global production of all these models reached a hundred copies. The LN.42 took the air Toussus-le-Noble in August 1945, but exceeded it was sent to scrap in 1947.
